Jean Lam

I was born in Hong Kong and made my decision to follow Christ in 2004. Responding to God’s calling, I came to Vancouver in 2023 to pursue a Master of Theological Studies at the Canadian Chinese School of Theology at Vancouver. After graduating in 2025, I joined Burnaby Chinese Evangelical Free Church, where I continue to serve.

I am currently involved in youth and family ministries, with a particular focus on the Preteens – Adolescents. I concern their inner growth and hope to walk alongside them during these formative stages of life and faith, guiding them through biblical truth and personal testimony to grow in Christ within their daily lives, to help them gradually build a strong and healthy foundation of faith. I believe that faith begins with knowing the truth, through which each life is continually shaped and formed, and is then naturally expressed in daily living and service.

In addition, I enjoy travelling, reading and pastel art. I believe that art is a gift from God that can serve as a channel of healing, blessing and the communication of faith. I often integrate Scripture with artistic creation, expressing hope, love and light through colours in the creative process.

I am married to my husband, Benny, and we are blessed with one daughter Vivian. As a family, we also enjoy life and cherish time spent together with our beloved dog, Kobe in Richmond.
